The Upper Colorado

wilderness, natural beauty, hot springs and the amazing river

Upper Colorado

This is the perfect rafting trip for families or first-time rafters looking for a scenic float trip with abundant wildlife and playful rapids. As guests meander down the river, there are opportunities to watch for Bald Eagles perching on cliffs, or even deer, moose, and bears grazing on the shoreline. Toward the middle of the float trip, there are natural hot springs nestled into the river bank that guests are able to enjoy depending on the river level. For guests hoping for a little more adventure, it is possible to experience the Upper Colorado River in a raft or inflatable kayak.  This is Colorado beauty at its finest.

This is a MUST DO, you will NOT be disappointed!! The rafting offered both relaxation and a few small taste of mild white water. Any age could handle this trip and enjoy themselves from start to finish!! Our guide was Richard and he did a EXCELLENT job of not just educating us but making us laugh and have a great time! He even went above and beyond by offering his phone to another couple to take pictures, and then sent them to all of us!
Great trip for family of all ages

This was a great trip that my nine-year-old son and even my 69-year-old mother could enjoy. Our guide Zack made it fun and interesting for everybody! The beginners trip on the upper Colorado River gave us an awesome view of Little Gore Canyon and the Gore Mountain Range. Date of experience: August 2013

This rafting trip down the headwaters of the Colorado River was the best we've ever done. The guides were very professional and informative about the river. It's suitable for all ages (we had 7 kids and 8 adults) and everybody enjoyed it. Highlights were the warm springs where we got to soak, followed by a diving rock where many of the kids and adults got to jump. Outstanding experience! Even the shuttle bus ride was fun, especially for the kids who got to play with the various friendly dogs on the bus. What a blast! Date of experience: July 2012
